1. Is Grammarly included in my AutoCrit Membership?
AutoCrit is not affiliated with Grammarly, and an AutoCrit subscription does not give you an automatic Grammarly Pro subscription; however, the program supports using the Grammarly browser extension to check spelling and grammar in your manuscript for free.
If you're interested in combining Grammarly's power within AutoCrit, here's how you can make it happen:
Add an extension to your internet browser.
Sign up for a Free Grammarly account if you haven't already.
If you don't already have a Grammarly account, and don't have Grammarly installed in your browser, please see below for a walk-through:
2. How to sign up for the Grammarly Free Membership
We've included the instructions to sign up for a free Grammarly membership. This membership includes Grammarly ads and is not affiliated with AutoCrit, but it offers an alternative for spelling and grammar checking that can be used in the program.
2.1. Go to the Grammarly signup page
To get there, click this link: https://www.grammarly.com/signup
2.2 Sign up using your email address or via Google, Facebook, or Apple.
If you choose to sign up with your email, enter your email address, create a strong password (use 8 characters or more), and add your name.
If you prefer to use one of your social accounts, you can sign up via Google, Facebook, or Apple.
Click on "Agree and Sign up" if you're satisfied with the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy to proceed.
2.3. Follow the Grammarly prompts
Once you've signed up, you will have to answer the following prompt by Grammarly:
Select the applicable option for your writing needs here and press "Next":
(If applicable) select the other projects you might use Grammarly for and press "Next". At this point, I would recommend clicking on "Skip personalization". You can return at a later stage to add these details to your Grammarly profile if you would like to do so

3. What are the limitations of using Grammarly in AutoCrit?
Over time, we've discovered that the Grammarly browser extension works well for up to 60,000 words. Afterward, you may notice a delay in the time it takes to scan your document for spelling and grammar inconsistencies. If you encounter this problem, we encourage you to use AutoCrit's built-in grammar checker, designed for long-form content, alongside your browser's basic spell-checker. These are lightweight alternatives that work well for as many words as you can write.
