Most browsers include a built-in spell-checker tool to detect spelling errors as you write. You can follow these steps to activate your browser's native spell-checker:
Step 1. Opening Your Right-Click Menu
Please note that these instructions may be slightly different depending on the browser you use.
While inside your document, right-click to open your right-click menu.
Step 2. Activating Your Browser's Spell-Checker
Then click on the Spell check option to bring up the side menu with the language and spell-check submenu options.
Click the spell-checking option you prefer (basic spell check or enhanced spell check in this case).
If you don't see any spell-checking happening just yet, please see Step 3 below.
Step 3. Activating Your Browser's Spell-Checker in Your AutoCrit Settings
Now that you've activated it in your browser, you can allow the spell-checker to work in your AutoCrit document as well.
Click the Settings icon on the right-hand toolbar in your editor:
Then click the box next to "Check spelling with Chrome" (or your current browser).
Once it's activated, your browser will scan your entire document for spelling errors and will underline any spelling issues that occur during your writing process.
Step 4. Using the Spell-Checker
Right-clicking on words that display with red-underlined text will allow you to see alternate spelling options for the words in view. You'll see them at the top of your right-click menu.
If you have any trouble using your browser's spell-checking features, please don't hesitate to message us in the customer support chat or email [email protected].
Happy Writing!
