AutoCrit provides options to publish your text directly to EPUB or PDF formats. This feature can be found under the "Publishing" tab in the main header menu as shown here:

Here are some quick links to help you navigate this article.

STEP 1 - Preparing your manuscript for EPUB and PDF export

Before you dive into the publishing tab, please make sure to properly identify any chapter headings, scene breaks, and page breaks in your text using the AutoCrit menus found at the top of the editing window. These elements do need to be properly identified by AutoCrit for best results when publishing your work.

STEP 2 - Adding book details

Include the details of your text in the Book Details tab here:

Here you can input elements such as:

  • Cover image

  • Title

  • Subtitle

  • Author Name

  • Publisher Name

  • ISBN numbers

You can also select the copyright tab to update the copyright messaging. You can also choose to not include a copyright page.

STEP 3 - Setting the formatting for export

Finally, we now can set the final formatting of the document and publish your file to PDF or EPUB using the style/theme tab.

Here you can set fonts, first sentence characteristics (drop cap, small caps), paragraph formatting, scene break formatting, and much more.

View pre-built templates, active file settings, and preview/publish options using the tabs at the top of the sidebar (#3 in the image below).

When you have everything set, click the download button at the bottom of the page on the Preview & Publish tab as shown here:

This will download a final formatted version of your file to your local computer.
