How To Save As Separate Chapter Files

If you want to split your manuscript up by chapter and save it in the program for editing individually, this article is for you.

AutoCrit has introduced a way to import and export chapters separately which can be useful for a range of use cases. Here's how you can take advantage of this amazing new feature to save your manuscript into separate chapter files inside your projects area.

If you want to save your manuscript as separate files inside the program to work on them individually, follow these steps:

Step 1 - Click the Save Icon

The save icon is the second from the top on the top right-hand side corner:

Step 2 - Click Save As

Step 3 - Choose a Folder

Choose which Project Folder to save your file to by clicking the drop-down menu:

*You can create a Project Folder by clicking "Add New"

Step 4 - Check the Box and Save

Check the "Save each chapter as a unique file" box and click "Save"

This will save your project into separate chapter files that can be found in your projects area.
