AutoCrit has introduced a way to import and export chapters separately, which can be useful for a range of use cases. Here's how you can take advantage of this amazing new feature by importing separate chapter files into the manuscript you're currently working on.

Step 1 - Click Import

In this chapter list, you can see Chapters I, II, and III. We are going to add Chapter IV to the document from inside the document.

The first step is to click on the import feature above the magnifying glass on the right-hand side of the Writer's Desk:

Step 2 - Choose an AutoCrit File or Upload a File

You can either upload the chapter files or add them from your projects area to your document.

To add them from inside the program, click this option:

If they have not been uploaded to your projects area and you wish to upload them from your device, click this button:

We will proceed as if your files have already been uploaded to your projects area.

Navigate to the file in its project folder:

Step 3 - Set Your Cursor and Click to Import

Set your cursor where you want the chapter file to be added.

(In this image, I set the cursor to the last line in my document)

Click on the button beside the chapter you wish to import to add it to where you placed your cursor in the document.
