How to Add Chapter files to my Manuscript

This short article will show you how to import separate chapter files into your document

AutoCrit has introduced a way to import and export chapters separately which can be useful for a range of use cases. Here's how you can take advantage of this amazing new feature by importing separate chapter files into the manuscript you're currently working on.

Step 1 - Click Import

In this chapter list, you can see Chapters I, II, and III. We are going to add Chapter IV to the document from inside a document.


The first step is to click on the import feature above the magnifying glass on the right-hand side of the Writer's Desk:

Step 2 - Choose an AutoCrit File or Upload a File

You can either upload the chapter files or add them from your projects area to your document.

To add them from inside the program, click this option:

If they have not been uploaded to your projects area and you wish to upload them from your device, click this button:


We will proceed as if your files have already been uploaded to your projects area.


Step 3 - Click to Import​

Click on the button beside the chapters you wish to import to add them to the bottom of your document.
