Text Walkthrough:
Step 1 - Navigate to your Writer's Desk projects area:
You can access your files/projects at the bottom of this page. This section over here:
Step 2 - Open the project folder containing the file you want to delete:
To open a project folder, click on the red dot next to the project name. In this case, we are going to click on the red dot next to the "Uncategorized Files" folder which will open the folder like this:
(you will notice that the tiny white arrow in the red dot facing downwards. This means that it's showing everything contained inside of the "Uncategorized Files" folder)
This folder contains all of the manuscripts or files you have not put into any other project folders. Starting a new blank document will automatically put the new file into this folder.
You cannot delete this folder because it is a default folder.
Step 3 - Deleting the file:
To delete the undesired file, click on the three vertical dots next to the file over here:
This will bring up this menu. In the menu click "Delete"
Just in case you've accidentally clicked "Delete", a pop-up prompt will ask if you are sure you want to delete this file. If you are sure, click on "Delete".
If the file was successfully deleted you'll see this notification in the top right-hand corner for a brief moment.
"OOPS! I deleted the wrong file!"
