This method will clear out any incompatible formatting code hidden from view in your document, keep your italic, bold, and header formatting in place, and provide you with a clean working copy to use in AutoCrit.

1. To do this, click the export option under the save icon here, then click Export (.docx) at the top:

2. Then, return to your Projects area by clicking the AutoCrit icon here.

3. In your Projects area, click the upload option here to upload the same file you just exported.

4. Follow the instructions on this pop-up to add your file again.

The reuploaded version of your file should have fewer issues because it will have cleared out all the incompatible formatting while leaving most of your standard formatting in place.

Please let us know if this does not fix the issue by messaging us in the support bubble in the bottom right corner of your screen on any AutoCrit page, or by emailing us at [email protected].

We're always happy to help!
