To find the number of You can run the Chapter Analysis and then the Character Analysis to determine the number of characters. The last section of the Character Analysis, "Other Characters Analysis", will list your characters that are not your Protagonist and Antagonist. Here are the steps in more detail:

Step 1. Run the Chapter Analysis that can be found in the Analysis tab > Fiction Analyzer:

Step 2. Run the Character Analysis and see the last analysis field for details on your other characters—they will be listed there:

If you are looking for the number of text characters, unfortunately, the program does not have a feature to identify that, but if you have Microsoft Word on your device, you can export your AutoCrit file as a .docx file, by clicking the export icon under the save icon, then choosing "Export (.docx)". Then, open the file in Word, go to the review tab, and then under "Proofing," click on Word Count. This will list the number of characters in your text with and without spaces. I've included the steps below, but the Word portion might look slightly different on your device, depending on your theme.

Step 1. Export your document:

Step 2. Open the document in Microsoft Word and navigate to the Word Count option:
