How to Compare two Documents Side-By-Side

This support post will help you compare one document with another next to it in AutoCrit.

If you'd like to compare two documents side-by-side, you can follow these 5 steps:

Step 1

With your first document open, access your notes area in the Writer's Desk—you can find it in the top right-hand corner:

Step 2

Create a new note board, by clicking the +Add Note Board option, naming your noteboard, and clicking Create.

Step 3.

In your new Note Board, create a new note, and give it a title. Then click Save to store it.

Step 4

Paste the text of your other document into the note text area.

Step 5

Change the view of your notes at the top to increase the visibility of your second document:

This will allow you to see both documents side-by-side in your Writer's Desk, you can also alter the widths of both by moving the gray arrows here.
