2. How to change access to my shared file.

Once your receiver receives the file, they will be able to view it in read-only mode as a Spectator. This is evidenced by the word "viewer" in their browser's URL bar:

To grant your receiver edit access, click on the Save icon and the Share option again from inside the shared file.

Then click the drop-down menu beside their email address to change their access from Spectator (viewing only) to Editor (viewing and editing), then click Update to refresh their access.

For your receiver's access to update on their device, they will need to close and reopen the file. After doing this, they will be able to click this option to edit the document.

PLEASE NOTE: Only ONE user can have edit access to a file at a time. To prevent the autosave feature from overwriting work.

To remove access from your file, return to the file sharing options, by clicking the Save icon and then the Share option.
